Back to Biblical/Spiritual main page…

Lately, I have felt the desire for my walk with my God to be closer and stronger than before.

I really try to read my (KJV) Bible daily.

I was reading in Deuteronomy 7, verses 6-9, they really seemed to stick with me, particularly #8, “But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.”

How amazing is it to be loved by The Almighty GOD, Our Creator, in this manner.

This is Really very very special to me, and should be to all of us, who actually know and love HIM.

Let me say that there is a difference between knowing HIM, (The Almighty One, Our Holy Creator, and just knowing of Him).

HE is the GOD of All Good Things, The GOD of Righteousness and TRUTH. The GOD who we love, and who loves us.

See, my walk with HIM, may be somewhat different then most others, because if it wasn’t for HIM holding me, saving my life, keeping me alive, when I had no blood, well, I wouldn’t be here, sooo, I feel that I owe my all, my everything, to HIM. And for this, I am ever grateful to HIM.

I have learned, during my years of life in this flesh body, that we have a duty, that we owe to HIM, and that is that we show Him our love in return.

Remember that HE gave us the breath of life, (His breath) that small part of HIMSELF that lives within each of us, and it returns to HIM, when we die, according to Ecclesiastes 12:7, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit (His Breath) shall return unto GOD who gave it.”

In Deuteronomy 6:5, We are commanded, “And thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

We are also instructed in Leviticus chapter 11, at the end of His Food Laws, verse 44, “For I am the LORD your GOD: ye shall therefore sanctify (change) yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy:.. ”

Again, in 11:45, “For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your GOD: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”

We are instructed this, in several other places; Leviticus 19:2, 20:7& 26, 1 Peter 1:15 &16,

May I ask, how are you doing, towards improving your own holiness? Are we even trying. ?.. Have we ever been taught to do this?.? or how to do this?

This is done by showing our God, our love.

This is not about telling our GOD that we love Him. No it is not about empty words, sometimes quickly forgotten….lip service.

Yahusha stated in Matthew 15:8&9, “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; (lip service) but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

(maybe things like Sunday worship, Easter, etc.)

In John 14:15, Our Jewish Savior taught His Jewish disciples, “If you love me, keep my (the) Commandments.”

In John 14:21, He continued his teaching; “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father….”

Yahusha is teaching that when we willingly obey the commandments of our GOD, and Himself, that this expresses our love for them, to them His Father and Himself. (They are the same commandments).

Why did I point out that our Savior and His Disciples were Jewish.? This is because if we claim to believe in a Jewish Savior, we should learn to live and walk, as He lived and walked.? Right.? Well, He observed His Father’s 7th Day Sabbath, on Saturday, and His Food Laws, His Feast Days, and His Moral Law’s, and we also should be doing this too.?

In John 6:38, our Savior taught, “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”

As our Savior and our example to follow, shouldn’t we be doing the same, not always doing our own will, all the time? But doing the will of our GOD, at least some of the time?

There are other commands that we are to observe also, His Feast Days, His Food Laws, His Moral Laws, and His Seventh Day Sabbath, (the last day of our week, according to our calendar, Saturday, reference Genesis 2:1-3, and the 4th, of His 10 Commandments).

I am sure that we all have heard it stated by our Savior; “Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD, with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” in Matthew 22:37.

Verse 22:38, states: This is the first and great commandment.

Please think about this.
